The foods offered In India are very sophisticated kinds. These foods are offered mainly on the Punjabi region in the north, but if you visit other places south, east and west India, you will have different types of dishes which are mostly vegetarian but can also include meat of chicken, lamb, fish, and goat.
French cuisine is excellent cuisine. One popular ingredient in French cuisine is rich cream and alcohol. A very popular French dish is escargot which is actually snails cooked in garlic butter with frogs legs. Some people are put off by snails and frogs in their dish, but these people are missing one great dish that is a delight to many. You can also find other specialties in France like pastries, spirits, liqueurs, and wines which you can find everywhere in the country.
There are a lot of great Mediterranean cuisine but the best of these is the Spanish cuisine. The Spanish tapa is a very famous snack or starter and you should try their excellent seafood dishes. They have excellent wines including sherry, which is their most famous national drink. Made in Jerez, sherry is wine fortified with brandy. Sangria which is like punch, is red wine with spices, spirits and fruit and is quite inexpensive.
Mexican cooking has a touch of Spanish cooking in it. Tacos and tortillas are very famous in Mexico where they wrap dishes in. One very famous Mexican dip is Guacamole which is made from mashes avocados mixed with oil and garlic.
Italy is famous for pasta and pizza. Laborers in the field eat pizza for lunch. Each village used to have its open brickwork pizza oven and you could see women returning from the woods with baskets full of mushrooms to make the delicious pizza al funghi. Italy boasts of having 300 varieties of sausage to choose from and 400 cheeses. Italian cuisine has been there for ages.
If you go to the Middle East, their cooking is a combination of Mediterranean and eastern with emphasis on warming spices like cinnamon. Delicious breads are eaten with appetizers, dips, and pickles in these countries. They use plenty of lentils and chick peas and they have different salads with little meat.
Lemon grass and lime juice are used in Thai cooking which gives their food a delicate and subtle flavor. Bitter, sweet, hot, and sour flavors are combined in their foods. When Thais cook, they use a lot of fish sauce and noodles.
Japanese cooking includes sushi rice and fish dishes. Sweets and rice based dishes and soya bean products and recipes are famous in Japan.
